    Zulfiqar Manzi

    Intern

     

    Zulfiqar has plenty of experience with video editing, operating cameras, doing color and play-by-play commentary for sports, and creating original content. The content he originally creates, is a sketch comedy show titled, “RealStories with Zulfiqar Manzi”. He’s currently working for Focus as an intern. He helps out with most of the gigs that are going on, whether its in the studio or in the field. His goal for Focus as an intern is to help out with many activities as he can including helping other community producers with their content, providing workshops, filming, and editing productions. He works diligently in producing original content weekly with new episodes from his own work as well.

    Javier García Bustos

    Intern

     

    Javier is a dancer, acrobat, and choreographer from Madrid, Spain. He has trained all around the world, including Spain, Madrid, Paris, and New York. He joined STCC in 2014, and nowadays is completing his Associate’s degree in Digital Media Production, and working as an intern for Focus Springfield. He loves to shoot dance videos, edit, and create 3D animations. He is planning to get a Bachelor’s degree in 3D animation in UCLA. If he has a goal he will achieve it.

  • Courtney

    Courtney West

    Intern

    Courtney is currently a senior from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. She is majoring in communications and is interning with Focus Springfield to gain experience in television production. Her favorite parts of the experience are operating cameras and video editing. Her aspiration is to work for Rooster Teeth, a production based company in Austin, TX.

  • Liz

    Elizabeth Metsch

    Intern

    Liz is a sophomore at Manhattan College in New York. She was born and raised in Springfield and graduated from The MacDuffie School in Granby, Massachusetts. She is currently double majoring in sociology and communication. In her work with Focus Springfield, her favorite part of the job is developing programming and getting out in the community! In the future, she would love to explore ethnographic film and continue to work in diverse, urban areas.

  • Kate

    Katherine Weyant

    Intern

    Kate is currently a sophomore at Syracuse University majoring in Television, Radio, and Film. She lives in Wilbraham and graduated from Minnechaug Regional High School in 2015. Her favorite part of working at Focus is going out on shoots, editing projects in the studio, and meeting new people in the city. Kate loves to read and write, and hopes to one day move out to NYC or LA and work in the television industry as a writer.

    Carlos Herrera

    Fellow

    Carlos is a participant in a state department sponsored program.He is a mechanical engineer and a professional videographer, specializing in environmental matters. The program he participated in involved learning the different techniques to improve environmental challenges such as water quality, deforestation, and air quality.
