A proud life-long resident of Springfield, Steve graduated from Cathedral High School and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He began his production career as an intern at the city’s 1st Public Access TV station. Steve’s production experience includes broadcast, corporate and commercial work. He especially enjoyed his work on children’s educational shows such as Sesame Street and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, shooting locker room interviews at Fenway, safety and surgical videos, etc… He came off the road and started teaching a video production program at Holyoke High School in 2007. Steve actively helped design Focus Springfield’s new downtown station and feels like he’s come “full circle” in Public Access TV.

Focus Springfield’s Director of Photography, Director of Operations & an FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot. He has developed extensive skills in drone imagery, videography, editing, lighting, as well as audio & video engineering. A graduate of STCC’s Digital Media Production program and a former intern of Focus Springfield, he is paying it forward by mentoring interns, community producers, & local youth program initiatives. Fluent in English/Spanish, he’s readily available to overcome any language barrier to provide “Access” for local creators in the City of Springfield.

George interned for Focus Springfield in late 2022 – Early 2023. His efforts to make sure all productions go smoothly, his attention to detail, as well as his vast network of friends in Springfield are top reasons why Focus invited him to the team. He’s taken the mantle as our Production & Social Media Coordinator. George continues to stay up to date on social media standards, looks for ways to broaden our audience, and brings innovative ideas to the table.
